Terms and Conditions for AFL/NRL Football Tipping Competition

  1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the [AFL/NRL Tipping Competition] (the “Competition”). By entering and participating in the Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not participate in the Competition.

  1. Eligibility

2.1 The Competition is open to individual Members that are financial.
2.2 Competition Administrators are not eligible to win any prize in the Competition.
2.3 Participants must provide accurate and complete information when entering the Competition.

  1. How to Enter

3.1 To participate in the Competition, participants must submit their football tips through the ESPN app/website before the start of each match or round.
3.2 Participants must choose the outcome of specific football matches (e.g., home win, away win, or draw) within the set deadlines provided for each match or round.
3.3 Entries are limited to one per person per round.

  1. Competition Period

4.1 The Competition will begin at the commencement of the AFL/NRL season and will end at the conclusion of the finals.

4.2 The Club reserves the right to adjust the timeline, including the start and end dates, as needed. Participants will be notified of any changes.

  1. Prizes

5.1 Participants earn points for each correct tip. The scoring system will be as follows:

  • 1st place: $1000 National Press Club of Australia Gift Card
  • 2nd place: $500 National Press Club of Australia Gift Card
  • 3rd place: $150 National Press Club of Australia Gift Card

5.4 Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternatives will be offered.

5.5 Prizes are shared for joint winners

  1. Disqualification

6.1 The Club reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in Breach of these Terms, including but not limited to:

  • Submitting multiple entries from the same person.
  •  Non-Financial Member participating
  • Engaging in fraudulent activities or attempting to manipulate the outcome of the Competition.

6.2 Disqualified participants will forfeit any prizes or rewards.

  1. Data Protection

7.1 Participants agree that their personal information, including their name, email address, and any other information provided, may be used by the Club for the purpose of administering the Competition, announcing winners, and distributing prizes.
7.2 Participants consent to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes related to the Competition.

  1. Limitation of Liability

8.1 The Club will not be held liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of participating in the Competition or accepting a prize.
8.2 The Competition Organizer is not responsible for any technical failures, disruptions, or delays in the Competition, including issues with the tipping platform.

  1. Changes to Terms

9.1 The Club reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms at any time, without prior notice.
9.2 Any changes to the Terms will be posted on the Competition website or communicated to participants via email.
