Michelle Manook is the Chief Executive of FutureCoal (formerly the World Coal Association), the world’s only global alliance representing entire coal value chain. Since taking the helm in 2019, she has driven a global movement to redefine coal’s role through innovation, technology, and responsible stewardship.

With over 25 years’ experience across the energy, oil and gas, and mining sectors, Ms Manook has held senior leadership roles in global markets and has held non-executive director positions.

Recognised globally, Ms Manook has been named one of the 50 most influential figures in the global mining sector by Mining Journal for three consecutive years (2022–2024) and among the Top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining (WIM100).
