The Hon Tim Wilson MP, the Shadow Treasurer of Australia, will Address the National Press Club for the Post-Budget Reply Address.

Tim Wilson is the Federal Liberal Member for Goldstein and Shadow Treasurer.

Tim’s time in public service has been marked by historic moments, including defeat in 2022 and an historic comeback in 2025; but his focus has remained the same: to lead nationally and deliver locally.

Before entering Parliament, he served as Australia’s Human Rights Commissioner, championing equality before the law and advancing rights for all Australians. He is a lifelong advocate for freedom, equality, opportunity, and community empowerment.

His career spans international development, public advocacy, small business and media, and he holds a Master of Diplomacy and Trade along with postgraduate qualifications in energy and carbon studies.

He has also worked on national security and economic policy, with a strong focus on home ownership, a theme central to his book The New Social Contract.

Away from politics, Tim is married to his husband, Ryan; and they both support the mighty Melbourne Demons.
