The Hon. Dr Daniel Mulino MP, Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, will address the National Press Club on βProtecting Consumers and the Promise of Superannuation in an Evolving Financial System.β
Australia’s superannuation system is one of our nation’s great economic institutions, but recent events have highlighted the profound consequences when consumer protections fail.
As Australia strengthens its financial system, how do we better prevent consumer harm, uphold confidence in superannuation and ensure that those who benefit from the system bear appropriate responsibility when consumers suffer losses? The Government is focused on protecting consumers, strengthening accountability and maintaining trust in the institutions that safeguard Australians’ savings.
