Mick Mulvaney, Former COS to Donald Trump and Joe Hockey, Founding Partner & President of Bondi Partners, will Address the National Press Club.
Mick Mulvaney and Joe Hockey are two of the best connected people in Washington DC and will provide their insights on current geopolitical events ranging from the global energy crisis to the upcoming U.S. mid-term elections.
Few people are as familiar with Washington DC from the inside than Mick Mulvaney. In the past decade he served in more and varied positions than likely any other person. He was White House Chief-of-Staff to President Trump during both an impeachment and the first days of the Coronavirus pandemic. Mick was also the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and as a Cabinet Member he oversaw the broadest deregulatory initiative in 40 years and managed the longest government shutdown in history. He was Ambassador and Special Envoy to Northern Ireland during the height of Brexit and prior to his executive branch service he was elected four times to the U.S. House of Representatives. Mick is now a Senior Adviser with Bondi Partners.
As Australia’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Joe Hockey was responsible for Australiaβs relationship with the U.S. during the final year of President Obamaβs tenure and the first three years of President Trumpβs first term, where uniquely among other diplomats, he was able to get access to the President, secured important trade and investment outcomes and played golf with President Trump. Well-know as a former treasurer and minister in a political career of nearly 20 years, Joe is the founding Partner and President of Bondi Partners, where he spearheads the firmβs global strategic direction across Australia, the U.S, the United Kingdom and Japan. He is also a director on a number of boards, including the NRLβs new Rugby League franchise, the Perth Bears.
