The Shadow Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Dan Tehan, will Address the NPC on 'A better Australia not simply a bigger Australia'.
In his first major speech, the Shadow Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Dan Tehan, will provide analysis of the new Government’s post COVID-19 approach to immigration, following the Jobs and Skills summit and ahead of the October Budget. Immigration was a key driver of our national project before COVID-19 and it must be central to our post COVID national recovery. Setting out the principles that have underscored the Coalition’s successful approach to immigration since John Howard, Mr Tehan argues an unashamed focus on young, highly-skilled workers must be the driver of immigration policy, with an understanding of its impact on local jobs and skills, community cohesion, economic growth, infrastructure and the environment.
