We will require your guest names to be lodged with us by 5pm Thursday, 07 November 2019. We are unable to guarantee any guest changes for this event after that time. At registration, you and your guests will need identification (membership card or photo ID). Bags (including hand bags) will be subject to inspection or they will be required to be checked in on arrival. Larger bags will need to be checked in. You will be given an identification ticket for the lodgement of your property. Bags will be safeguarded by a club staff member during this event. Security staff will use security wands for random checking. No late entries - people will not be permitted to enter the room after 12:30pm. We thank you for your co-operation. Registration will open at 11.20am and we encourage you and your guests to arrive on time to avoid delays.
Anthony has represented the Inner West of Sydney as the Federal Member for Grayndler since 1996.
Following the election of the Federal Labor Government in November 2007, he became the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, and Leader of the House of Representatives.
In 2010, Anthony was named Aviation Minister of the Year for producing Australia’s first ever Aviation White Paper. In 2012, he was named Infrastructure Minister of the Year by London-based publication Infrastructure Investor.
In June 2013, Anthony became Deputy Prime Minister, and also took on additional responsibility as Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.
In July 2016 he was re-elected as the Member for Grayndler and appointed the Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development and the Shadow Minister for Tourism.
On 30 May 2019, Anthony was elected unopposed as Leader of the Australian Labor Party.
